Qualifi Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

To enrol on this qualification, learners must meet the following criteria:

• This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 and above.
• There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. We are responsible for ensuring that this qualification is appropriate for the age and ability of learners.
• The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access and progression.
• Learners who are non-native English speakers must have a minimum level of English language competency*
• In certain circumstances, individuals with considerable experience but no formal qualifications may be considered, subject to interview and being able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the demands of the programme.

This qualification is designed for individuals who wish to develop and improve their ability to maintain and enhance the quality of assessment within a regulated environment. It is suitable for professionals involved in internal quality assurance who are responsible for ensuring consistency, standardisation, and effective feedback in assessment processes. It also supports those working in assessment, training, and development roles who aim to strengthen their understanding of quality assurance practice and maintain high standards within their organisation.  

Career Progression

Learners completing the Qualifi Level 4 Awards can progress to:

• a Qualifi Level 4 or 5 qualification;
• directly into employment in an associated profession.

The Qualifi Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a fully accredited qualification awarded by Qualifi, an awarding body regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). It holds a unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN), which appears on the learner’s final certificate. Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN): 603/5651/0. Qualifi is an approved awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual (Reference Number RN5160) and operates under strict quality assurance procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of its qualifications. This qualification is part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is officially recognised in England. Inspire London College delivers this qualification in partnership with Qualifi, ensuring learners receive a trusted and nationally recognised credential that supports progression in internal quality assurance and assessment roles. 

This qualification is assessed through an assignment-based assessment designed to support career progression in education and training. Each unit is internally assessed by Inspire London College and externally verified by Qualifi, ensuring quality and compliance with national standards. Written Assignments are structured around realistic, work-related tasks and are mapped directly to the unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

Learners are required to demonstrate understanding of relevant concepts and apply them to organisational contexts, using examples from real or case-study organisations. Assignments may also ask learners to review situations and suggest appropriate actions linked to internal quality assurance. This assessment approach helps learners clearly connect theoretical knowledge with assessment and quality assurance practices. 

Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated Certificate (Hardcopy) from Qualifi, an Ofqual Regulated Awarding Organisation.
